With its 2900 m ascent and about 363 kilometers in 5 stages this tour is ideal for Transalp beginners who want to take things a little easier.
This is an ideal Transalp for beginners mainly on well established cycling routes. Requested: A basic fitness and fun with mountainbiking.

Details & stages
05:00 pm: we meet up tour preparation and trip briefing based on maps, get to know each other and have dinner together
From Grainau we start along the panoramic trail to Ehrwald. We cycle further along the mountain path to Weissensee and further up to the Fernpass. Along the old Roman Road Via Claudia Augusta we cycle to Nassereith and from there on beautiful cycling paths with wonderful views to Imst.
From Imst we ride along the Inntal Cycle Path over Mils, Schönwies and Zams and later over Prutz, Ried (here is a beautiful swimming lake), Tösens and Pfunds to Nauders. Shortly after leaving Pfunds we cross the Kajetan Bridge and have a short excursion to Switzerland. Now we have to conquer the Norbertshöhe. As a reward we get a dreamy view of Austria and Switzerland
From Nauders we cycle over the Reschenpass into the Vinschgau. We are in Italy! We take a break in Glurns for South Tyrolean culinary and cultural delights. From there we roll along the Etsch past Juval Castle high above Naturns and through the endless orchards to Merano. On the rooftop of our hotel, a whirlpool and picturesque alpine views await us.
From Merano we ride towards Bolzano. Past the Kalterer See our route leads us along miles of vineyards of the famous cultivation area. Interim destination of this stage is the small wine village Tramin at the South Tyrolean Wine Road, the home of the famous Gewürztraminer. Further we cycle along the bicycle way of the Etsch Valley to Trento.
On the last day of our Transalp we cycle along the Etsch to the historic bishop city Trento, and further to Rovereto. From here it’s only a “hop” to the Lago. Crossing the Passo San Giovanni we get to a beautiful view point of Lake Garda. The last downhill leads us to our final destination: Lake Garda. We’ve made it!
After breakfast we depart with the bus back to Grainau.
